
1936-2023 Antonio Lopez Saenz began his professional studies at the then University of Sinaloa, where he decided to give way to his artistic vocation. Over time he defined his career, managing to present his first exhibition in 1960, which paved the way for the realization of countless collective and individual exhibitions in various cities in Mexico and the United States. In 1995, he participated in the exhibition "Four Mexican Painters" in Paris, France, and was consecrated as the first Sinaloa painter to have an exhibition at the Museum of the National Palace of Fine Arts, where his work unified specialized critics in a content of recognition and admiration. Also, in that same year the "Antonio López Sáenz" painting prize was instituted in Sinaloa, which takes place within the framework of the Mazatlán carnival, as a tribute to his hometown.
